End-to-end workflows

Monitor team work and reassign a picking task

Starts when: A picking task is waiting, blocked, or held by an operator who is not available.

  1. Open Work control and read the Team work, Do now, Blocked and Review cards.
  2. Under Next up, click Review work to jump to the Team work queue and look at the most urgent items first.
  3. Open the task from the queue, or go to Fulfillment, the Picking Series tab, select the wave, click Open wave detail and, on the Pick Tasks tab, click View details.
  4. The task page shows the task number with its status, for example Pending, Assigned, On hold or In progress; Task Details lists the product, location, order, Progress and Operator.
  5. If a Blocked action note is shown, read the reason and the Required authority before you change anything.
  6. When the status is Pending, Assigned or On hold, click Reassign.
  7. In the Reassign Task T-… dialog, choose a person under Select operator; only active operators of the task's warehouse who are qualified for the work are listed.
  8. Click Reassign Task: the message Task reassigned appears, the Operator field shows the new name and the change is listed on the Assignment history tab.

Result: The picking task is assigned to the chosen operator and the change is recorded in Assignment history.

Next: The Operator carries out the picking on the handheld app; wave and series planning stays with the Manager.

Handle a receiving issue at the dock

Starts when: Goods arrive damaged, missing or unidentified, or a delivery is late.

  1. Open Inbound; the Receiving tab opens on the Receptions list.
  2. Use the Action required, On the dock and Late queues, or the status filter (In Transit, Arrived, Receiving, Completed), to find the delivery.
  3. Click View details to check the lines and quantities of the reception.
  4. Open the Issues tab and click + Report Exception.
  5. In Report Inbound Exception, choose the Receiving Event and the Exception Type, describe what was found, add the Scanned Barcode if there is one, and click Report Exception: the message Exception reported appears and the exception is counted under Open.
  6. Once the problem is settled, click Resolve on the exception row.
  7. Enter the Resolution Reason and click Resolve Exception: the message Exception resolved appears and the exception is counted under Resolved.

Result: Every dock problem is recorded against its receiving event, with a description and a resolution reason.

Next: Operators continue receiving and putaway on the handheld app; a Partner Manager or Partner Admin marks the arrival and completes the reception.

Register and deliver internal mail

Starts when: A parcel or letter for a person on site arrives at the warehouse.

  1. Open Inbound, then the Internal Mail tab, and choose the warehouse if you are asked to.
  2. Click Register parcel; in Register internal parcel, choose the Recipient under Select a person…, enter the Carrier and the Tracking number, and confirm: the message Parcel registered appears and the status is Received.
  3. Click Print label to label the parcel; the status changes to Label printed.
  4. Click Start delivery when the parcel leaves for its recipient; the status becomes In transit.
  5. At the recipient's desk, click Hand over, scan the badge in the Scan badge… field if available, and click Confirm handover.
  6. The message Handover confirmed appears and the status is Delivered; a check mark shows when the badge was verified.
  7. If the parcel cannot be handed over, click Fail, enter the reason in Record failed delivery and click Record failure; the status becomes Failed.

Result: Every internal parcel has a traceable status, from Received to Delivered or Failed.

Next: The recipient has the parcel; for a failed delivery, agree the next step with your Manager.

Follow picking and packing progress

Starts when: During the shift you need to know whether picking waves and packing are on schedule.

  1. Open Fulfillment and the Picking Series tab; the Picking Waves list is displayed.
  2. Filter by warehouse or status, or search by Wave Code, and click Refresh.
  3. Select a wave and click Open wave detail; the Pick Tasks tab lists every task of the wave.
  4. Click View details on a task line to open the task page and, if needed, reassign it.
  5. Open the Packing tab to see the Packing Queue and the Packing Stations with their current load.
  6. If a station is overloaded or a packer must change, ask a Manager: changing the packer and the station settings are Manager actions.

Result: You know which waves and tasks are behind and have moved picking work to available operators.

Next: Operators finish picking and packing; the Manager adjusts waves, series and packing stations.

Common questions

Why is there no Reassign button on a task?

Reassign is offered only for picking tasks whose status is Pending, Assigned or On hold. A task that is In progress or finished cannot be moved from the task page.

Why is an operator missing from Select operator?

The list shows only active operators of the task's warehouse who are qualified for the work. If nobody fits, YSEND shows No active operator of this warehouse is qualified for this work. Ask an HR Admin or your Manager to update qualifications.

Can I create picking waves or complete receptions?

No. Picking waves are created by a Manager. Marking arrivals, starting and completing receptions, and creating putaway lines and packing sessions are done by a Partner Manager or Partner Admin.

Why can I not export the presence board?

Export this week is not available to team leaders. Ask a Manager or an HR Admin for the weekly export.
